Also based on the amount of free time that I have, I plan on keeping this blog and possibly updating it for the world to see.

And now ontu the next 3 stressful days of finals. I have this project to work on and a calc final to study. Lucky me….

I’d be using an eliptical or circular shape as a basic outline of my emblem based on the fact that from my youthful years that I have come full circle and that I have changed many aspects of myself. Using photoshop, I also have an idea of maybe distorting the shape and have some parts sticking out and I cna maybe implement other images or symbols into the emblem that represent my well being.

Computer

“THE SECRET” 

 Square, Boxlike, with many different forms and shapes. This piece of equipment has started primitive in nature but has made rapid progression and updates throughout the year. The computer is a key component to the new information and digitized society. Besides humans, it connects many aspects of our society together and has been a catalyst of the fast sharing of information between many departments whether it be businesses, email, etc. 

In the medical profession computers allow for a safe and compact way to store plenty of information about patients and data efficiently and allow people to retrieve the data in reasonable time increasing the process between sending, storing and receiving data. 

From before I can remember, I’ve always had a computer. Whether it be in the home or at school computers are a part of everyday life. In the early 90′s it began with the old Machintosh computers, between the late 90′s and early 2000′s the Machintosh was upgraded to a Windows computer. Finally, the Windows was upgraded to an HP Windows XP desktop computer. 

With the upgrade of computers in my house, there has also been an upgrade of computers in the medical field such as the surgical rooms, pharmacists offices or hospitals and other fields in medicine. 

Default Moods: 

Sister: “Phillip, stop bothering me, stop touching me”
Phillip: “Be quiet miss piggy!”
Sister: “Moom phillip is bothering me and calling me miss piggy!”
Mother: “Phillip leave your sister alone.”

This is pretty much the basis and bare bones of how most conflicts at home start and end. I always enjoy fighting and arguing with my sister especially when there are no things to do around the house. I honestly feel that even though she expresses that she does not like it when I poke her or argue with her that she honestly enjoys it the same way that I do. I also feel that it brings the two of us closer together as brother and sister. 

My mother also acts as the moderator and beneficiary and the person who keeps situations at home from escalating in the house. 

Sometime to make my sister jealous, I hug my mom when she, I, and my mom are in the same room together and I tell my mom that I love her, while staring at my sister and grimacing. This gets my sister angry and I stay hugging my mom longer than usual. 

I joke around this way because at home, I feel the most comfortable thus making me feel like I can joke around with my sister without having the reprucussions or belittling of others as would happen if I joked around the way that I do with my sister somewhere else such as at school or outside of home in other communities.

What I notice about this interaction though is that at times I can joke too much and it really pisses off my sister. Then I stop and give her some time to breathe. Besides being playful, I also like to just go outside or look through the kitchen window and watch the ducks outside or just look at the river in the backyard. I do this when I’m either bored or just need to clear my head. I usually do this often at least once a day.

I ultimately feel that I am like  and the role model for the family. For one, I am the only male so when I get married I have to carry the family name. Two, I am the oldest sibling so I have to set good examples for my sister. And last but not least I would say that I have a responnsibility and obligation to myself to do better than my parents and have a better life than what I have previously now.

Life at home is also very organized and usually if there is nothing to do each individual goes through the same tasks based on the day. Whether it be a weekend or a weekday I pretty much know what will happen.

After first hearing this song i immediately downloaded it. Right from the start the atmosphere of the song is upbeat with the “Fascination” lyrics being said throughout the song.

This is how the beginning of the song starts out and it sets the tone right from the beginning. The song makes me think that we should live our lives in “Fascination”, we shouldn’t have to make our lives hard and that it should be easy and fun kind of like being a teenager again.

The song can be enterpreted as two people finding love for the first time and just living their lives and enjoying themselves and the passion that they have for one another. The song also sets a timeline of the two people meeting each other or being in love with each other in the summer or spring time.

Also, the instruments and “upbeatness” of the song hits the heart. If ever in a bad mode, I can just listen this song and it can cheer me up. The beat created by the drums and the jingles heard throughout the song created for a hightened sense of emotion and “passion” that two people who like each other could experience.

Part 2 Being Singular:

For me I would say that as a person I usually tend to not open myself up or express myself when I’m in a new environment or when I’m first meeting people. Looking back on all my actions and everything and the way that I act in new settings I usually tend to observe and sit back and watch everything and get to know the general feeling or I would say that I would try to put classmates/people in certain categories or generalize them in a way and see who I think is “cool” or “uncool” and who I would get along with or not. Then, after this phase I open up and share more stuff about me and my personality comes out more. That is one thing that I noticed about myself.

I can also say that I can be stubborn when pushed or when I want to be. Like if I have something to prove or if I want to prove something I’ll put myself in the open and do something if everyone else is afraid to. Or if someone doesn’t speak up for someone else or for something then I’ll chime in at times. Also when I really want something, I am usually vocal about it and very assertive and persistant about it. I try to get the job done and done quick.

Also, I have a very caring personality and I would say that for the most part I give people second chances however I can “forgive but not forget”. I also try to see the good in people or like a different side to them when others can’t. I would also say that I am for the most part very approachable and layed back and one person doesn’t have to act a certain way around me because I really could care less about how “weird” someone acts or if they do things other people think is odd because I just like to know people and see them for who they are. I am also a person that you can talk to about anything whether it be religion, sex, politics etc. like I’m very opened about that and even if it’s something that I personally do not agree with, I won’t shut someone down and try and overpower the conversation.

I would also say that I definetly improved my writing in Project 2. I felt like I wrote in a much more electrate style and I wasn’t as straightforward with a couple of points and viewpoints. I also enjoyed Project 2 alot more. In project 2 I really enjoyed the implementation of music and tying it in to our wide image and wabi sabi and having “ourselves” know how the music relates to our topic and having the “audience” interpret that for themselves.

Also seeing as how I have lived in the same home for the 18 years of my life and I have not moved and my parents have stayed together since marriage (which is pretty unbelieveable I know); I would presume that this allowed me to have much material to pull from or much material to remember and it’s not all scrambled up.

Towards the end of the movie, she finally believed that she could defeat the monster and beat the red queen and she did. Alice also stated during the movie that she dreamed up everything in “Wonderland” and that if she dreamed these images and “imaginary” beings up then that she could create the thought that she won the final fight and beat the Red Queen. And towards the end of the movie she did and i don’t think I have to explain the rest.

Well, seeing as how Alice said that she dreamed these creatures and they came to life in “Wonderland” I would say that these animals/creatures interacting with Alice could be Avatars created from her imagination and from her mind. These Avatars are her creations and her imaginations and I would probably say are visual embodiements of the different trials, emotions, and feelings that she experienced throughout her life.

Playstation Move Controller

PS Move Controller

Surprised by new name of new PS3 controller “Playstation Move”.  I don’t know what to think about the name. I’m neutral to it. Hopefully they can market the name. If they do it can be a hit. 

Heavy Rain, White Knight Chronicles, MLB The Show, etc titles are being discussed

Wow the trailer presented for the Playstation Move looked really impressive and a stepup from the Wii.  All Sony needs to do is advertise and market the hell out of this new device because I’d definetly buy it if the software support was at least decent as opposed to the subpar gimmicky games that appear on the Wii. 

A sword and shield tech demo is being shown ala virtual fighter is being portrayed. It really does look precise. 

A table tennis tech demo is shown. The presenter is stressing the precision of the controller. 

Another demo called “Move Party” is being shown. Looks great for kids and for the current Wii audience. Not for me though. They remind me of those arcade games that I used to play at Chucky Cheese though. 

Little Big Planet + Motion Controller = Awesome. 

Playstation Eyepet video shown. Same trailer as I’ve seen before. I guess introducing Eyepet to the European market was just a test to see how well it would do. 

Playstation “Subcontroller” shown. It has an analog stick so that “hardcore games can be more accesible”. Socom 4 will be able to be played normally or with the Playstation move with the “subcontroller”. I’m guessing the subcontroller is comparable to Wii’s nunchuck. 

Socom 4 with the Playstation Move looks awesome. Its like a computer mouse and keyboard. 

“3D gaming coming to PS3 over the summer”! 

Conference is over. I thought it was really well. They catered the conference to the mainstream media including causual audience and they also showed titles using the Playstation Move such as Little Big Planet and Socom 4 using the Playstation Move. 

I’d give this press conference a solid B.

Playstation Arc demo

Me: “Anita!” Anita: ”Phill!” Me: “Bueno! (meaning hello its an inside joke). Anita: laughing “haha Bueno dear.” Our conversations usually start like so and start chatting about the events that happen in our lives. She is truly a person of many sides because for the most part she has these stunning light brown eyes that really stick out and whenever I talk to her I just can’t help but look into them and she also has a great smile and whenever I talk to her, her smile makes me smile which is really funny. I tell her about it too which makes her laugh. On the other side, when there is stuff to be done or things that need to be handled, Anita can be assertive and more often than not a bitch but not in a bad way, just someone who doesn’t take no for an answer and that will be very persistent until something gets done. I like both these sides and it makes our relationship very interesting because usually she jokes around saying that “Phillip likes it when I get bitchy, he likes bitchy girls”. We usually joke about this alot.

When not talking outside of school, we usually go to the movies or hang out at the park with other people for fun. Whenever I drive her places I always have to prepare for the one song which she always has to put on during our car rides to places. “Diamond Girl”. Its like whenever I hear that song now, I picture Anita singing it which she quite frankly does a not so good job at getting the pitches right or anything. When singing she songs more like an American Idol reject. Too bad I don’t have three hands because one hand would be on the wheel and the other two would be covering my ears from the sound she makes. Sounding nothing like the original song.

Now my family absolutely adores Anita. They are always telling me that why don’t I go out with Anita but I tell them that she’s just a really close friends and if stuff didn’t work out then our friendship might be ruined which would not work well.

Two summers ago, Anita and I worked at a hospital as LPN’s and that truly a great experience. We both got to see another side of the medical field and there were some crazy stories that would take me forever to type out. While working at the hospital, she came up with this grea tidea to create confessionals akin to Real World and pretty much every reality tv show on the block. She told me to bring my camera and whenever one of us were free (or our other friends who were with us) or if something happened that we needed to just let out, that we could do it on camera. There was a supply room in the hospital floor which we worked in towards the back where we went to record these confessionals.

We both truly made the best out of our summer working at the hospital and we many fun times. Now we are moving to bigger and better things. We are both first year college students both striving to get into the medical field and we both share common interests. Both of us know each other so well that we know what gets us angry and happy and what makes us laugh etc. I feel ultimately feel like I can talk to her about anything and if I need an answer “straight up” she’ll give it to me.
